30 New Things in My 30th Year! Join the Journey! โจ
In my 20s, I struggled with chronic illness after being diagnosed with a variety of conditions. Managing my health and adapting to life with a disability took up the majority of that decade.
Now, as I step into my 30s with better health and a deeper acceptance of my disability, Iโm excited to try 30 new things I missed in my early 20s and things Iโve yet to try as a disabled person. My 30th birthday is on 11/11, but Iโm giving myself all of 2025 to complete this challenge, and Iโd love for you to join me!
Thereโs no specific list of activities, but Iโve created a mood board of dream ideas and wanted to share them in case you can help me reach my goal. If you can assist, or know someone who might be able to, please get in touch!

Iโve already kicked things off with some exciting activities, including establishing a skincare routine, learning British Sign Language (BSL), and learning to read music.

Dream Ideas to Achieve in 2025:
โขWalk the red or green carpet at a TV/movie premiere (preferably Wicked: For Good or Disney-relatedโjust saying!)
โขPerform on a new stageโmaybe even the West End (I do have a drama degree after all!)
โขBe an extra in TV or movies
โขGet my first tattoo
โขTry new disability sports like wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, disability snow sports, and disability surfing
โขCollaborate on creating a mobility aid product
โข Attend a football match
โขExperience a festival
โข Fly as a wheelchair user
โข Host my 30th birthday party
โขTake a girlsโ weekend away (Iโve only ever traveled with my parents or partner before!)
