30 New Things in My 30th Year! Join the Journey!

In my 20s, I struggled with chronic illness after being diagnosed with a variety of conditions. Managing my health and adapting to life with a disability took up the majority of that decade.

Now, as I step into my 30s with better health and a deeper acceptance of my disability, I’m excited to try 30 new things I missed in my early 20s and things I’ve yet to try as a disabled person. My 30th birthday is on 11/11, but I’m giving myself all of 2025 to complete this challenge, and I’d love for you to join me!

There’s no specific list of activities, but I’ve created a mood board of dream ideas and wanted to share them in case you can help me reach my goal. If you can assist, or know someone who might be able to, please get in touch!

Also, if there are any brands or organizations you’d like to see me collaborate with, let me know. I’d love to hear your ideas too! If you think I should add something I haven’t thought of, leave a comment!

I’ve already kicked things off with some exciting activities, including establishing a skincare routine, learning British Sign Language (BSL), and learning to read music.

Follow my journey on Instagram and YouTube to see how I get on!

Dream Ideas to Achieve in 2025:

•Walk the red or green carpet at a TV/movie premiere (preferably Wicked: For Good or Disney-related—just saying!)

Perform on a new stage—maybe even the West End (I do have a drama degree after all!)

•Be an extra in TV or movies

•Get my first tattoo

•Try new disability sports like wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, disability snow sports, and disability surfing

•Collaborate on creating a mobility aid product

• Attend a football match

•Experience a festival

• Fly as a wheelchair user

• Host my 30th birthday party

•Take a girls’ weekend away (I’ve only ever traveled with my parents or partner before!)

Let’s make 2025 a year of discovery, creativity, and community! ✨
