Get to know who’s behind the scenes

Meet The team

Jenni, a woman with long, auburn curled hair, smiling at the camera. She is wearing a yellow plaid dress, and has her arms on her lap.

Jenni - Director

I started ‘Chronically Jenni’ back in 2016. At first it was simply to share recipes as I had found a hobby in making free-from dishes whilst trying to get a diagnosis for my unexplained symptoms.

Once my cocktail of chronic illnesses were diagnosed I started sharing more about the journey with my health and the things I had learned and the things that helped me along the way and over the years of sharing chronic illness hacks and disability education pieces my community has grown to what it is today. I am so grateful to have you here and so happy to be able to introduce my amazing team.

Having run Chronically Jenni solo (with bits of help here and there) for almost 8 years having my support team behind me has made a huge difference & means its possible to continue with the work I love. So allow me to introduce the people behind the scenes!

Ian, a male with brown hair and a beard, looking slightly sideways at the camera, wearing a grey knit jumper.

Ian - Instagram Boyfriend

Originally hailing from East London I met my handsome prince, Ian, in the fairytale land of Tinder in 2020. We didn’t get to meet before the world went into lockdown but after months of virtual dating and then in-person dates spent 6 ft apart we have been pretty inseparable ever since moving in together in August 2020.

We added our beautiful african pygmy hedgehog to our family that November and bought our own home in 2021. Ian loves playing table tennis, retro gaming and is a movie buff. We love going on adventures together and trying new recipes. He took to being an instagram boyfriend pretty quickly, taking fabulous photos and helping to edit my mammoth youtube projects. With the team now on board he has taken a step in front of the camera and has recently joined me on professional modelling shoots.

He also regularly gets drafted in as an extra brain when we need a fresh set of eyes on an idea. As the person who looks after me the most ‘Chronically Jenni’ simply wouldn’t be able to run without him.

Cocoa, a grey and brown curly haired pup, wearing a purple harness, looks at the camera.

Coco - A Very Good Girl

She may be a dog but she’s an integral part of the team! We brought home this little bundle of fluff from Lincolnshire back in October 2022 and she has turned into the most beautiful, gentle, silly pup you could ever wish for! Coco is a Labradoodle x Cockapoo Mix and her grandad Bailey was in my first ever EDS awareness month video when he was just a puppy!

She absolutely loves her food and treats, destroying her favourite fluffy toys and playing with her best friends Mo & Frank. She has brought so much joy to our lives and has become the emotional support dog for the team giving everyone cuddles and kisses when they come to work. She loves trying to get involved in content when she is not supposed to and not playing ball when she is supposed to be part of the content.

She also has modelling experience! She is also going through her own diagnosis journey with a potentially chronic illness but just like her Mumma she’s taking it in her stride.

Poppy, a woman with long brown, straight hair smiles at the camera. She is wearing a black top and a pink shacket.

Poppy - Admin Queen

Since taking on support workers at the start of 2024, Poppy has been my right hand woman, both personally and professionally! Poppy & I met in 2023 when we hired her as our cleaner.

We hit it off instantly with our love of musicals and cockapoos, so I hadn’t even asked her about her professional qualifications before offering her a job as my support worker. Thankfully for me it turned out that she has a teaching degree in special education and worked as a carer and supervisor on the frontline throughout the pandemic. She has basically taken on the role of sorting my life out making sure I have eaten, drunk and have a tidy space, making sure emails get answered and my diary gets managed and everyone gets paid.

She is generally the all round admin queen as well as helping with filming, networking and trips out and about. She is a busy mum to two adorable little girls who I absolutely adore as well as Frank the cockapoo, all of whom come to help out at one point or another. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and you can always find her with a coffee in her hand.

Eboni, a woman with blonde, curly hair pulled into space buns smiles at the camera, while wearing a black top and a grey hoodie.

Eboni - Editing Empress

Eboni joined the team in July and was instantly the perfect addition! A graduate from Global Academy she is a whizz at all things editing and social media and is now studying commercial song writing at university.

She is the resident GenZer in our Millennial office so keeps us up to date on TikTok and trends. It’s rare to see Eboni without her headphones as she loves listening to music and seeing her favourite artists live. She is also a talented singer. She has such a joyful and hardworking attitude and having her help put together videos & select the perfect music has made such a difference to our content.

Beth smiles at the camera. She is wearing a purple plaid shacket and has long brown to blonde curly hair.

Beth - Cover Star

Beth and I met when we were both Children’s party entertainers portraying a wide variety of Singing Princess characters and have remained fab friends ever since. We get together for regular movie nights usually starring Zac Efron.

A recent graduate of Performers College, Beth is an incredible singer, dancer & actor so helps out to cover holidays & sickness when she isn’t busy with other work. She also has her own photography business & working with us has been great in helping her build her portfolio
